For the extension of the 4-star Atlantic Grand Hotel Bremen, Brumann was responsible for the design, planning and preparation of the furniture. Furthermore, our brief included the planning of the new fitness area to round off the impressive, superior 4-star experience for business and private guests in the centre of Bremen’s Old Town. After a comprehensive, detailed planning phase, which also included the creation of mock up rooms, it was realised within three months.
The extension houses 95 superior double rooms, three junior suites, one suite and one grand suite. All enjoy the most wonderful highlight of the hotel – the lovely view through the floor-to-ceiling windows out over Böttcherstrasse and the old town. Our interior concept lends an appropriate, dignified Hanseatic framework to this feeling of being in the heart of the action, with discreet, timeless elegance and a stylish world influenced by the great traditions of overseas trade. Rum, coffee, fine spices, wood-panelled offices, brass and patina: these associations have been translated by our planners into a stylish and sustainable architectural concept featuring surprising and well considered details.
The natural oak strip flooring harmonises with the dark stained oak furniture in classic linear geometric forms. Wall cladding with subtle, indirect strip lighting creates a warm atmosphere that can be modulated at the touch of a button, and the golden matt silhouette of the statue of the Bremen Town Musicians shines as a lighthearted reference. The suite and junior suites on the seventh floor, with their own balconies, offer a stylish space of 37-44 m2 for urban living and relaxing – luxurious and ultra-comfortable. Precious fabrics, elegant natural wood and casual armchairs convey exclusive hospitality. In conclusion, the Grand Suite with its 70-m2 roof terrace marks the highlight of the Bremen experience.
Our team really enjoyed their time in beautiful Bremen. We would like to express our thanks for this wonderful project, by means of which we were able to connect with our own traditions, as, after all, our company has its origins in the furniture-making sector.
