Located directly on the Elbe, the Bilderberg Bellevue Hotel offers its guests a fantastic view over Dresden's historic city centre. The former Westin Bellevue Hotel was renovated before being rebranded. On behalf of Event Hospitality Management Holding and the First Sponsor Group, Brumann realised the work on 326 rooms and suites in 2019 as general contractor for the interior fit-out & FFE.
The historic baroque building was extended in the 1980s with two large wings and a large garden and is an integral part of the cityscape. Guests have a unique view over the silhouette of the city centre: directly opposite the hotel are the Hofkirche and the famous Semper Opera House. The Dresden Royal Palace, the Frauenkirche Dresden and many other sights in Dresden's old town are also just a stroll away across the Augustus Bridge.
The Cologne office brandherm + krumrey designed the interior concept for the extensive renovation of the hotel. The international clientele and their different requirements were to be given a cosy retreat in individual rooms. The interior is convincingly timelessly elegant, in keeping with the classic flair of the hotel: leather and wood underline the calm colour palette of soft cream tones, naturals and cognac nuances, and the indirect lighting sets elegant highlights on the brass accents. A special feature is the generously upholstered benches, which, together with colourful cushions and vases, emphasise the living ambience.
Brumann carried out the renovation work and realisation of the interior fittings, furnishings and fittings during ongoing operations in two consecutive construction phases, which ran very smoothly and seamlessly despite the partly historic building fabric and the ongoing hotel operations.
