Even legends show their age: the InterContinental Hotel Berlin was long regarded as the most modern hotel in Europe, and Brumann is currently working to turn this hotel in the heart of the capital into a top-class hotel experience once more. As the general contractor, we have already implemented our modernisation planning in bedrooms and suites in one part of the hotel.

Designed and built as a Hilton hotel, the building, with its characteristic chequerboard façade, was considered the most modern hotel in Europe when it opened in 1958. Its scale set a standard which still applies: with 558 bedrooms and 34 function rooms, it is one of the largest German hotels and continues to rank in the top ten nationwide in terms of sales. Its Marlene Bar is an institution in Berlin’s night life, its Star Restaurant a must for international gourmets, and its guest list is a who’s who of world politics.
