The Ibis Styles Hotel is located in the south-east of Munich in the Perlach district and is very well connected thanks to its close proximity to public transport and a wide range of shopping facilities. On behalf of the operator - the Chocolate on the Pillow Group - which operates the hotel as a franchise partner together with Accor, Brumann 2022 was responsible for the interior fit-out & FFE as general contractor.
Munich in the late 1970s and 1980s: That was Discofever, Freddie Mercury and pure partying. The hotel planned by Arnold & Werner Architekten brought back the lifestyle of this era and, with its unique interior, paid homage to Munich's illustrious past as a hotspot for the national and international chic crowd. The room concept and furnishings revive the iconic ‘Memphis’ style of the 80s. Neon lettering and mirror elements, poufs made of silver faux leather and dazzling sequin cushions, flashy decorations such as glittering roller skates or porcelain cats of prey with glitter collars. Geometric shapes and colourful surfaces dominate the 172 rooms. Elements in violet and magenta provide powerful contrasts to ceilings and walls in bright red and blue. White patterned surfaces and light-coloured floor coverings with vibrant graphic patterns complete the intense spatial experience of a spectacular journey through time.
In addition to sample rooms and bedrooms, Brumann also carried out the entire implementation planning in the public and catering areas. Brumann was also responsible for the carpentry work and furnishings, and provided the decorative lighting and textile furnishings. Especially in the public areas, the modern furniture, which skilfully blends into the rooms, sets accents. It harmonises with the white terrazzo tiles and predominantly Bordeaux violet and ultramarine blue surfaces. In the bar area, guests' eyes wander over the many different and extravagant seating options, which often serve as a selfie spot for a modern and fun-loving hotel target group. In the spirit of the 70s and 80s.
