Who wants to stay normal when you can stay unique? With its new lifestyle brand unique, the Atlantic Hotel Group inspires an international, young and young-at-heart audience. Together with the architects from OlufemiMoser, a good design with practical features and not too many frills was developed. As general contractor, Brumann realised the entire interior fit-out of the hotel, from the sample rooms to the implementation planning of the 174 rooms and studios as well as the public areas. The hotel was opened on schedule in spring 2022.

The new eight-storey building is located directly on the Schwedenkai and Norwegenkai quays and thus offers a stunning view of the fjord from many of the rooms. The building, designed by Giorgio Gullotta Architects from Hamburg, blends in effortlessly with its red-grey brick façade into the surrounding listed buildings. Together with the neighbouring Atlantic Hotel Kiel and a multi-storey car park, the building forms an urban square for the entire ZOB area.

The interior concept combines Nordic style with industrial design to create the perfect ambience for this location. With room sizes ranging from 19 m2 in the skipper class to 30 m2 studios, everyone from business guests to families will find stylish accommodation here. Extras such as the ultra-comfortable beds or the practical kitchenettes in the studios also make long stays a comfortable experience. The rooms impress with a mix of trendy colours and warm wooden floors. In the lobby, the French café RESTEZ!unique and public areas such as the coworking space, wall paintings, paintings and sculptures by well-known artists create a modern hotel experience. High-quality furnishings and loving attention to detail give the hotel and the unique brand an unmistakable character.

Guests and visitors will find a consistent sustainability concept in the hotel: "Stop the Water" cosmetics can be found in the bathroom, ingredients for breakfast and snacks come from regional cooperation partners, and "L'Osteria" next door delivers pizza and pasta to the room for those who are really hungry. There is also a focus on digital networking. For example, there is an app for guest communication that guides guests conveniently and online from booking to departure.

In spring 2024, Brumann took over the extension of the sixth floor. This opened up a further 29 rooms and suites.
