‘Benztown’ highlight: ****Marriott Stuttgart-Sindelfingen

Like most of our clients, Marriott Management decided to renovate the hotel in stages, so that it could continue to offer their guests a high level of comfort and service, in spite of the renovation work. So, between 2014 and 2016, we gave all the rooms a thorough refurb and new facilities, floor by floor. At that time, initial refurbishment work was carried out in the lobby and conference areas.

From March 2018, we will be putting plans in place for the complete re-design of the ground floor, to include all of the public areas. For this large, extensive area, above which a gallery floor opens up, vertically arranged batons define new spaces: The visible grain of the matt finish woods and the open construction purposely allow perspective and transparency, imparting a warm, homely atmosphere to areas, without curtailing their expansiveness.

Casual seating and lounge chairs highlight a new, urban cosiness, while aqua hues and dabs of lemon yellow emphasise the colour scheme characterised by wood and peaceful neutral tones. A delicate yet impressive light installation lends structure to the room at ceiling level. In the reception area, lighting strips and decorative wall features artistically invoke the data stream of the 3rd. millennium – for many business guests this is perhaps a welcome reminder of the purpose of their visit, after a relaxing evening in the Marriott restaurant…
