****Marriott Stuttgart Hotel Sindelfingen: New splendour in South Germany’s “Automobile City”
****Marriott Stuttgart Hotel Sindelfingen: Lavish sense of space and a discerning atmosphere
Sindelfingen is strongly characterised by Mercedes Benz: 50% of the developed urban area is occupied by their factories; the car manufacturer has 30,000 employees in this particular location. Therefore, Brumann Innenraumkonzepte has allowed itself to be inspired by the flair of the luxury car brand during the planning stages: the showrooms speak for themselves, due to excerpts taken from luxury-oriented automobile design.
Smart breakdowns and balanced proportions create a generous sense of space in the individual rooms – the right balance between freedom of space and a sense of security, which turns this temporary home into an inviting destination for every business trip or private stay. A floating wall unit skilfully merges the entrance, bedroom and living area of a room; the wide bed frame further facilitates the connection between the different functional zones. Hidden lighting strips accentuate the emerging open spaces and create a cosy as well as high-value ambience.
The sporty elegant style is also demonstrated in the furnishings: the carefully proportioned interior is based on a play between structured and high-gloss surfaces. The carpet designs, with their dynamic-organic counterpoint shapes, endorse this timeless yet superior straightforwardness: a play of opposites, resulting in a balanced mixture of activity and relaxation. Historical photographs integrated into the shelves recall the great motor racing traditions which took place at Schloss Solitude.
As the general contractor, Brumann Innenraumkonzepte is not only responsible for planning but also for implementing the project, which is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2015.
