Bollants Spa in the Park, Bad Sobernheim

Brumann is serving as both interior designer and general contractor for the complete interior fit-out of the comprehensive redesign of the Bollants Spa im Park in Bad Sobernheim. The project will be carried out in several construction phases while the facility remains open and is scheduled to culminate in the planned reopening in the summer of 2026. As part of this rebranding, the property will become part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection.

The interior design combines a liberating, nature-inspired atmosphere with a calm, grounding color and material palette. Dark browns and greens blend with warm earth tones and light, airy wall colors to create a harmonious, balanced overall effect. Materiality plays a central role here: clay, a regionally and historically significant element, is used in soft shades and subtly interpreted through floral wall designs. At the same time, exciting contrasts emerge through nostalgic details such as ribbed glass light fixtures with accents in antique brass or lacquered coffered tiles in the bathrooms, which engage in a dialogue with clean, contemporary forms. The concept is complemented by green-glazed ceramic wall lights with opal glass, which create a soft lighting atmosphere and reflect the surrounding park landscape. Natural wool carpets from sustainable sheep farming in the rooms and hallways echo the scenic identity of the Nahe Valley and reinforce the feeling of tranquility, warmth, and authenticity throughout the property.

The design concept follows the hotel’s holistic wellness philosophy and the doctrine of the four elements: earth, water, light, and air. The goal is to create an atmosphere of deceleration that combines nature, materiality, and lighting into a harmonious overall experience, consistently supporting the hotel’s recreational character through both architecture and interior design.
